Online discussions saw varied solutions, from eliminating illegal rentals and pirate taxis to more drastic measures like privatising control and using the Army to address crime. Opinions on specific areas being the most overcrowded included Salines, Platja d’en Bossa, and Cala Saladeta. Overall, residents express frustration at political inaction and the strain on local infrastructure and civility caused by mass tourism.
