The State Agency of Meteorology (Aemet) has forecasted that the current mass of warm air over the Peninsula will not impact Ibiza and Formentera, according to Aemet’s Balearic delegate, María José Guerrero. While parts of the Peninsula may experience temperatures exceeding 43ºC on Wednesday, July 24, the Pitïuses islands are expected to remain unaffected this week. Cooler air is anticipated to lower temperatures from Thursday. Ibiza’s average temperature is slightly above normal, while Formentera experiences a milder summer. Despite fewer tropical nights than average, the fire risk in some areas of Ibiza remains extremely high. Rainfall has been minimal in July, with a 50% chance of dry conditions persisting into the next quarter. Automatic measuring stations across Ibiza and Formentera aid in these predictions.
