According to firefighters, the person was living in this open cavity in the rock, located near several hotel complexes and tourist apartments. However, it is not known if he was a neighbor.
A patrol of the Ibiza Local Police went to the place where the corpse was found after receiving the warning at 19.47 hours by a private individual, as reported by the Town Hall of the municipality.
Later, at around eleven o’clock at night, a team formed by two firefighters and a vehicle of the Vertical Rescue Group (GRV) and three personnel were dispatched from the island park. Upon arrival, they installed a rope system to recover the body.
At the moment, further details of the investigation, which has been taken over by the island’s National Police Force, are unknown.
