The recently published Special Plan for the port of Ibiza, now in a 45-day public review period, includes a proposal for a new two-storey car park at the es Botafoc maritime station, complementing additional underground parking facilities at Marina Ibiza and Botafoc Ibiza, and another large parking area at the port entrance. This plan, subject to environmental review, addresses the growing demand for unaccompanied vehicle parking. Furthermore, the plan proposes a reduction in the built area of the Marina Ibiza concession, improved access to the marinas, and a 2,000 m2 reserve for energy supply facilities for ships, all part of an overarching strategy to adapt to changing demands in boat transport services and support the energy transition.
