Never before has such a dry winter been recorded in Sant Joan de Labritja and Formentera. In Sant Joan, it only rained 7.2 liters (the data record began in 1993, 29 years ago) and, on Formentera 17.7 liters (with data since 1953, 69 years ago).
Rain, wind and bad seas cause cancellations
On the other hand, the ferry company Baleària reported that yesterday it had to cancel the daily connection of the fast ferry ‘Ramon Llull’, between Dénia, Ibiza and Formentera, due to bad sea conditions. On the line between the Pitiusas Islands, the four scheduled departures of the ‘Posidonia’, for cargo and passengers were suspended. Likewise, the fast ferry ‘Cecilia Payne’ did not operate on the round trip route between Palma, Ibiza and Denia. On the route between Vila and La Savina they also cancelled the three daily connections of the ‘Virot’, which only transports cargo. For the full article, please visit Diario de Ibiza website here.
