The estimated value of the contract to operate Formentera’s beach services for the next six years is 4,444,927.36€. The contract will run for six years, from 2022 to 2027, with an option to renew for an additional two years. All specifications are available on the Ministry of Finance’s Public Sector Contracting Platform. Individuals or businesses interested in participating must submit their bids by December 30 at 23.59 p.m. The contract was approved by the government commission on Friday and is now available on the Consell de Formentera’s website. This time, contracts are divided into administrative authorizations for sun loungers and parasols, while fixed elements such as the eight beach kiosks and sailing schools are considered administrative concessions that do not require dismantling until the contract expires. Each of the 50 lots has an annual fee that varies by service type and number of elements. Professional, social, and environmental responsibilities will be prioritized over economic considerations.
Formentera’s beach services are being put out to tender for 4.4 million euros
