Naraya Escrivá, Iris Cardona, Estela Riera, Alba Soriano, and Larisa Ioana are students of the IES Marc Ferrer’s Bachillerato (high school) in art. Since yesterday, they have been displaying works that are the result of the efforts of their teachers, Enric Riera and Paco Peris. “This has a sense, we are facing a war situation and it is as if the main figures of the painting that shows us the ‘Guernica’ had escaped to come to the present day,” say Naraya and Iris of their attention-grabbing painting inspired by Picasso’s “Guernica”. “It’s to raise awareness that there are still wars today, even if we don’t see them,” she emphasises, in case it wasn’t evident.
