Aleix Peman and Jazmn Deza, representing the Club Náutico Ibiza (CNI), were the two sailors who stood out the most this weekend in the Balearic Championship of the youth specialty ILCA-4, held in Mallorca under the organization of the Club Náutico S’Estanyol, with the participation of approximately 70 competitors from 13 different clubs. Aleix Peman, one of the six sailors displaced by the Club Náutico Ibiza, finished among the top 25 with a creditable 18th place overall, highlighting his best partial 12th spot in the fourth race. Sailor Jazmn Deza, who finished 11th overall female and 23rd overall, also stood out for her strong performance. After this race, Aleix Peman and Jazmn Deza have been denied entry into the Balearic squad that will compete in the Spanish Cup in late February in the seas of Cambrils, though if there are any casualties in the team, they will still have a chance to play in this national event. Other CNI sailors who stood out for their strong performances included Joan M. Vilás, who ended in 24th position, and debutant June de Miguel, who finished as sixth female U-16 and 29th overall. Julia López Grau (35th) and Daniel López (36th) were the most notable members of the Club Náutico Santa Eulalia’s Race Team (39th).
