The Capitanía Marítima of Ibiza denied Isla Air Express‘s request to test seaplane landings outside Ibiza’s port, citing high traffic and safety concerns. Despite this, the company will demonstrate their seaplane service in Palma de Mallorca on November 9. Isla Air Express plans to link Vila, Palma, and Barcelona with seaplane flights, having invested over six million euros in the project. The company awaits permission for similar operations in Palma.
