To commemorate International Women’s Day, the Club Naútico Ibiza in collaboration with the association Art amb B, is set to launch the exhibition ‘8 1, Dones a l’Índia‘ this Thursday at 7 p.m. The exhibition, curated by Joana María Adillón and Antoni Torres Martorell, features works by artists Lina Andiñach, Patricia Boned, Pilar Cuesta, Marga Guasch, Matilde Hernández, Aphon Hengcharoen, Marga Juan, Carmen Liberal, and writer Iolanda Bonet. These creators, who are either native to Ibiza or have made it their home, share a unique experience of having visited the south of India and engaging with the Vicente Ferrer Foundation in Anantapur. Their artworks, inspired by this journey and particularly focused on the region’s women, landscapes, and daily agricultural life, incorporate various mediums including acrylic, oil on canvas, gold leaf, pastel on board, and collage. The exhibition, showcasing 24 paintings alongside the poem ‘Ardity‘ by Bonet, will be open until April 26 before moving to various locations including El Verger and Mallorca.
