Christmas in Ibiza is often associated with a slower pace, mild temperatures and the opportunity to explore the island beyond its peak season rhythm. It is also a time when cultural plans gain special importance, offering visitors a deeper connection with local life. One of the standout cultural events this season is the Fira d’Art at Club Diario de Ibiza, a unique exhibition that brings together the work of 17 artists from Ibiza and Formentera.

This art fair has become one of the most appealing cultural plans in the lead-up to Christmas, inviting both residents and visitors to discover contemporary art created in the Pitiusas. Whether you are travelling as a family, with friends or exploring the island on your own, the Fira d’Art offers a relaxed and enriching experience in the heart of Ibiza Town.

A cultural plan to enjoy Ibiza at a different pace

December is a particularly pleasant time to visit Ibiza. The island encourages unhurried walks, quiet streets and time to enjoy cultural proposals that often go unnoticed during the summer months. The Fira d’Art fits perfectly into this atmosphere, offering a calm, accessible space where visitors can take their time to observe, reflect and connect with local creativity.

Held at Club Diario de Ibiza, the exhibition provides an ideal setting to enjoy art without crowds or pressure. It is designed to be approachable, allowing visitors to engage with each piece at their own rhythm and discover the diversity of artistic voices currently active in Ibiza and Formentera.

Supporting local artists and creative autonomy

The Fira d’Art was created with a clear objective: to provide a platform where local artists can present their work and gain visibility within the island’s cultural agenda. At a time when creators are calling for a stronger presence in Ibiza’s cultural life, initiatives like this play a key role.

The fair is curated and promoted by Diana Bustamante, who emphasises the importance of giving artists autonomy and a leading role in how their work is presented. According to Bustamante, the Fira d’Art allows creators to connect directly with the public, encouraging dialogue and offering a genuine snapshot of the current creative pulse in the Pitiusas.

For visitors, this direct contact transforms the exhibition into more than just a gallery visit. It becomes an opportunity to understand the context, influences and diversity behind local artistic production.

A varied exhibition of painting and sculpture

The exhibition space at Club Diario de Ibiza is filled with colour, texture and form through a carefully curated selection of works that includes both painting and sculpture. One of the defining features of the Fira d’Art is the wide range of styles, techniques and formats on display.

Each artist presents a main piece displayed on the wall, accompanied by a portfolio containing smaller works. This format enriches the visitor experience, offering a broader view of each artist’s creative universe. It also makes the exhibition particularly attractive for those looking to purchase art, as it includes pieces in different sizes and price ranges.

Seventeen artists, seventeen unique perspectives

This year’s edition brings together the work of 17 artists, each with a distinct style and artistic language. The diversity of approaches reflects the richness of the contemporary art scene in Ibiza and Formentera.

The participating artists are: Ángel Zabala, Aïda Miró, Aphon Hengcharoen, Bonet Vallribera, Carmen Almécija, Carmen Liberal, Diana Bustamante, Doralice Souza, Julián Molina, Mar Ample, Marga Guasch, Marga Juan, Miguel Ángel García López, Patricia Boned, Rita Bretones, Julio Bauzá, and works by Juan Costa-Hoevel, included thanks to the collaboration of his family following his recent passing.

The inclusion of Costa-Hoevel’s work adds a particularly meaningful dimension to this year’s exhibition, reinforcing the sense of continuity and collective memory within Ibiza’s artistic community.
