Ibiza, renowned for its vibrant nightlife and festive atmosphere, has no age restrictions. Margaret, born in 1938 in Teesside, UK, is living proof of that. This summer, at the age of 86, she travelled to the Balearic island with her granddaughter and fully embraced the experience. Together, they visited nightclubs and sailed through Ibiza’s crystal-clear waters—activities that might seem unusual for someone of her age.
A youthful spirit full of energy
Far from holding back, Margaret seizes every opportunity to enjoy herself. In a viral video shared by the BBC, she humorously recalls a previous trip to Thailand where she tried pole dancing: “Although no one put money in my knickers,” she jokes.
A special family trip to Ibiza
The trip to Ibiza was the idea of her granddaughter and her husband, who decided to renew their vows on the island while fulfilling Margaret’s long-standing wish to visit.
“I’d always dreamed of bringing my grandmother here,” her granddaughter says, delighted to see her becoming the centre of attention on the dance floor. “Everyone wants to take pictures with her, and they gather around her when she dances,” she adds.
Margaret, for her part, couldn’t be happier: “Everyone’s buying me drinks—this is wonderful!”
Age is just a number
For Margaret, age is nothing but a number. With an energy and attitude that many would envy, she confidently declares that she plans to live until she’s 200 years old. “I just love life,” she says.
The secret to a fulfilling life
What’s her secret to staying so vibrant? According to her, it’s simple: “Take care of yourself, take care of others, and have fun.”
Margaret is living proof that fun and adventure don’t have to stop with age. If you have a young spirit, Ibiza is always ready to welcome you with open arms.
