This practice, primarily spread by word of mouth, has significantly hampered parking space rotation, especially affecting local businesses and restaurants with some experiencing reservation cancellations due to parking unavailability. The community and local entrepreneurs are advocating for parking regulation measures, such as paid parking or time-limited parking, to mitigate the issue. In response, the City Council plans to introduce a “blue zone” as a pilot this summer, enforcing a two-hour parking rotation from Monday to Saturday, aiming to alleviate the problem without imposing parking fees initially.
