In Ibiza, six women were subjected to severe exploitation and abuse in a horrifying case of human trafficking and forced prostitution. Kept in apartments under lock and key, these victims endured almost non-stop workdays with minimal rest, forced interactions with clients under degrading conditions, and physical harm. Following an investigation led by the National Police Corps, six individuals—three men and three women—were identified as perpetrators, with two additional women named as accomplices. The legal proceedings against these individuals are underway, with the prosecutor seeking prison sentences of up to six years for the accused, alongside demands for significant financial compensation for the victims. This case highlights the grim reality of modern-day slavery on the island known for its luxury, bringing attention to the dark underbelly of human exploitation within the sex trade.
