Enric Ribes hasn’t bought art in a long time. He is excited to visit the Club Náutico Ibiza with his daughter Laura today. The opportunity afforded by ‘Art Solidari,’ which has recently opened its doors, is worthwhile. The event, produced by Antoni Torres Martorell and coming to Ibiza for the first time, presents graphic work by Balearic artists at extremely reasonable prices, with earnings benefiting Projecte Home Balears and the Vicente Ferrer Foundation. The Ibizan writer, researcher, and politician considers the table on which the pieces are displayed, all of which are in tiny format and are from the collections ‘Art per a la vida 2’ and ‘Mata Ombres.’ The rates range from 5 to 30 euros. The framed ones are a little more expensive. Ribes doesn’t take long to make a decision. He purchases four works by artists Michel Buades, Carles Fabregat, Josep Mar, and Carles Guasch. His daughter purchases two paintings by Pedro Mara Asensio and Doralice Souza.
