Amidst the vibrant nightlife of Ibiza, Amnesia Ibiza invites you to experience the party as it was meant to be—immersive, timeless and free from modern distractions. This legendary venue offers a chance to step back into the past, where music wasn’t just entertainment, but a means to escape and live in the moment.
Ibiza’s reputation as the world’s electronic music capital has evolved significantly over the years. What once served as a sanctuary for free spirits and counterculture has transformed into a bustling hub for global tourism. Yet, despite these changes, Amnesia Ibiza has steadfastly maintained the island’s original, unadulterated spirit.
Established nearly five decades ago, Amnesia remains one of the last bastions of Ibiza’s authentic culture, where the essence of music, dance and freedom are preserved at the core of the experience.
Music as a portal to liberation
Long-time visitors to Ibiza often reminisce about the island’s bygone days, lamenting the changes brought on by commercialisation and the surge of entertainment choices. The original essence of Ibiza’s nightlife has been somewhat diluted, with electronic music—once a niche genre embraced by a select few—now dominating global soundscapes. The advent of technology has turned nightclubs into elaborate multisensory productions, sometimes overshadowing the fundamental joys of music, dance, and the liberating atmosphere they create.
In this shifting landscape, Amnesia shines as a pillar of resistance, preserving the ethos of the ’70s through to the early 2000s. Here, the music is the medium and the aim is to lose yourself in it, even if just for a short while.
In a move that underscores its commitment to an authentic experience, Amnesia has implemented a policy that encourages party-goers to forgo mobile phones on the dance floor. This approach invites guests to dance as they would have in 1974—fully engaged with the music and the moment, free from the distractions of the digital age. This dedication to authenticity and freedom has been key to the club’s enduring success.
A triumphant season at Amnesia Ibiza
The 2024 season has proven to be another remarkable year for Amnesia, with sold-out nights at events such as Paradise, Metamorfosi and elrow, alongside its signature Pyramid party, which takes place every Sunday and showcases techno and minimal house music. The club’s diverse weekly lineup also includes Latin rhythms at Bresh, British house and the lively LGBTQ+ celebration HE.SHE.THEY., with The Masquerade by Claptone taking over Tuesdays.
To conclude the season with flair, Amnesia will host a Closing Festival on the 11th and 12th of October—an event that, for the first time, will extend across two full days. This grand finale invites attendees to “forget everything and truly be free,” a message that resonates deeply with those looking to escape the pressures of modern life and fully immerse themselves in the unparalleled atmosphere of the nightclub. This year’s closing celebration will feature more than thirty artists, with a special sunrise set by Jamie Jones and Joseph Capriati providing the perfect crescendo to two unforgettable nights.
